When our two sons, Colton and Grayson, were born on January 25th, 2013, they were 36 weeks gestation and we were thrilled with that progress. After their birth – they were placed in the NICU at Overland Park Regional Medical Center for observation. Having the boys in the NICU was something we had never experienced before and were feeling many different kinds of emotions and had many questions.
The nurses were amazing and always gave us up to date reports on the boys. You could tell they truly loved their job - they cared for their patients and took great pride in caring for all the babies there. They were all very easy to talk to and willing to answer any questions that you might have. I loved having the convenience of calling there when we couldn't be there and knowing the boys were safe and secure at all times. Dr. Hubbard and Dr. Schooley were so compassionate and patient as well. They took time everyday to visit with us and gave us a very detailed report on the progress the boys were making. My husband and I know how fortunate and lucky we were to have the boys in the NICU at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. The care our sons received was top notch – we are forever grateful to all the Doctors and Nurses there who cared for them.
